Snapshot: Who is Team OG in CS2?

OG is a Denmark-based esports org (founded by N0tail & Ceb) that entered CS in 2019 and currently competes in CS2 across European events. The 2025 lineup blends a veteran AWPer with emerging riflers under a young IGL, coached by Lambert.

Current world ranking: hovering around the low-30s in August 2025.

Current OG CS2 Roster (roles & quick “abouts”)

  • Chr1zN (IGL, rifler) – Danish in-game leader noted for structured mid-round calling and comfort in anchor roles when needed. He took the IGL mantle in OG and has been a long-term core of the project.
  • nicoodoz (AWPer / hybrid) – Danish AWPer with a green-light to take initiative; can switch into a hybrid rifle on T-side to speed up execs. Known for explosive peaks at big events.
  • spooke (rifler / space-taker) – Swedish rifler who creates space with early fights and good trading discipline. Cohesive entry paths on Mirage/Inferno-style defaults.
  • adamb (rifler / anchor) – Swedish rifler; often handles tough anchors on CT and low-econ impact rounds (e.g., FAMAS/MP9 saves) that keep halves afloat.
  • arrozdoce (rifler / lurk-flex) – Portuguese rifler added midsummer; mixes late-round lurks with pack-play in set pieces.

Coach: Lambert (head coach) — emphasizes simple, repeatable spacing and utility layering.

OG’s 2025 form: recent results & storyline

Summer stretch (July–August 2025)

  • CCT S3 EU Series #4: multiple 2-0 wins (including vs SAW and Tricked) and a 2-1 over ENCE—evidence the roster can out-fundamental mid-tier opposition when the AWP is online.
  • BLAST Bounty Fall 2025 Closed Qualifier: pushed top opposition (e.g., MOUZ) to a deciding map; fell short 1-2.
  • RES Showdown Fall: early exit; momentum dipped after a strong qualifier run.
  • CS Asia Championships EU Open Qual: scheduling conflict forced a forfeit.

First half of 2025 milestones

  • BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025: OG reached the main event; nicoodoz delivered a headline-grabbing performance with one of the event’s most dominant map scorelines.
  • CCT S2 EU Series #20: trophy earlier in the year (confidence builder during the rebuild phase).

Player stats snapshot (team period, Rating 2.1 context)

(Numbers summarize each starter’s current stint in OG; ratings are a single, comparable index—higher is better.)

  • nicoodoz: ~1.13 rating across early months on OG; high ceiling games when economy supports frequent AWP pickups.
  • spooke: ~1.08; solid consistency as a space-taker.
  • adamb: ~1.05 in the first month; trending up as roles stabilize.
  • Chr1zN: ~1.01 across a large map sample while IGLing; impact beyond frags comes from call tempo and mid-rounding.
  • arrozdoce: small-sample integration period sub-1.00; fits a utility-first, late-round role.

How OG plays (tendencies you’ll notice on demo review)

  • AWP-enabled mid rounds. With nicoodoz in form, OG often structures mid-rounds to re-fight for AWP impact (re-peeks behind a fresh flash, re-clear with layered util).
  • Simplified spacing, not over-cooked. Lambert’s calling culture leans toward clean, reproducible spacing on site hits. Expect 2-3 key lineups rather than eight gimmicks.
  • Young rifler anchors. adamb handles tough CT sites to free spooke for proactive spots.
  • IGL pragmatism. Chr1zN isn’t afraid to change pace—fast execs after a pistol bonus, then grindy defaults next gun round to reset the read.

Level up like OG: set a stable config (autoexec, video settings, best resolution, max FPS), then polish mechanics with the jump-throw bind and spray patterns.

What to watch next (schedule & story hooks)

  • Upcoming: OG have qualifiers and CCT matches on the calendar in mid- to late-August; the immediate watch-item is a StarSeries Fall EU Qual match on August 14, 2025 (check your local listings).
  • Form trend: Results against mid-tier EU teams suggest playoff potential when the economy enables nicoodoz and CT anchors hold. The next test is sustaining that level versus top-20 adversaries.
