PGL Major Singapore 2026 runs from November 24 to December 13, with 32 teams competing for US$1.25 million. Sixteen teams start in Stage 1, eight enter in Stage 2, and eight begin in Stage 3. The playoffs take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium from December 10 to 13, ending with a best-of-five grand final.
The invitation field is set following the November 2 Valve Regional Standings cutoff. That puts FaZe, Liquid and BC.Game into the opening stage, while MOUZ, Vitality, Spirit and Falcons join later.
Singapore is the second event in the 2026 CS2 Major calendar. Here is the full field, when each group starts, and what teams must do to reach the arena.

Stage 1: FaZe, Liquid and s1mple’s BC.Game start here
Stage 1 begins with 16 teams, and only eight move on. FaZe and Liquid have to survive this opening round before meeting the teams invited directly to Stage 2.
BC.Game’s invitation core includes s1mple, making the team a natural starting point for fans following s1mple’s Counter-Strike career. The field also includes 100 Thieves, whose return we covered in our 100 Thieves CS2 overview. GitHub
Stage 2: NAVI, G2 and The MongolZ enter
Eight Stage 1 survivors join NAVI, G2, Astralis, FUT, Nemiga, 1win, MIBR and The MongolZ to create another 16-team stage. Eight advance again.
The MongolZ are the only Asia-Pacific representative entering directly at this point. The region’s other four teams begin in Stage 1.
Stage 3: Eight direct entrants meet the survivors
MOUZ, Vitality, Aurora, Spirit, BetBoom, Falcons, FURIA and Legacy enter Stage 3. They face the eight teams advancing from Stage 2, with the final eight playoff places at stake.
A Stage 3 invitation is not a playoff berth. Every team in this stage still has to qualify for the arena. HLTV.org

How Does the Singapore Major Format Work?
Each Swiss stage has 16 teams. Three wins mean advancement; three losses mean elimination. In Stages 1 and 2, advancement and elimination matches are best-of-three; the remaining matches are best-of-one. HLTV currently lists every Stage 3 match as best-of-three.
The eight Stage 3 survivors enter a single-elimination playoff. Quarter-finals and semi-finals are listed as best-of-three, followed by PGL’s confirmed best-of-five grand final. A third-place decider is also scheduled for the final day. GitHub
Counting three wins per Swiss stage and three playoff wins, the route to the trophy requires 12 match wins from Stage 1, nine from Stage 2, or six from Stage 3. These are match wins, not map wins.
That is the practical value of a later starting stage: fewer matches to win, and fewer opportunities for a bad series to end the run.
How Did Teams Qualify for PGL Major Singapore?
Invitations use Valve Regional Standings, or VRS. Regional rankings determine invitations; the global ranking is used for pre-event seeding. Singapore’s invitation cutoff was November 2.

The eight direct Stage 3 spots are split between six European and two Americas teams. Stage 2 has six European entrants, MIBR from the Americas, and The MongolZ from Asia-Pacific. HLTV.org
