Open your Inventory, select the weapon, choose Detach Charm and confirm. It does not contain a cosmetic charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you already earned detachments through the Armory or weekly rewards, you can use those without making another purchase. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/daddyskins.com\/blog\/cs-case-guides\/cs2-weekly-drop-chances\/\">CS2 weekly drop guide<\/a> explains the reward system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Move_a_Charm_to_Another_Gun\"><\/span>How to Move a Charm to Another Gun<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Detach the charm first. Once it is back in your inventory, select it, choose the weapon you want to use and position the charm in the application preview. Confirm when you are happy with the placement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A weapon can hold <strong>one charm at a time<\/strong>, so remove an existing charm before replacing it. Attaching a charm does not require a detachment charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, moving your favourite charm from an AK-47 to an AWP means removing it from the AK first, then applying the recovered item to the AWP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also detach and reattach a charm to change its position on the same weapon. Preview the placement carefully before confirming so you do not spend another charge correcting it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Valve introduced these placement and reuse rules in <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/news\/posts\/?appids=730&amp;enddate=1728000977&amp;feed=steam_announce%2F1000\">the Armory update<\/a>. For help choosing a look, see our <a href=\"https:\/\/daddyskins.com\/blog\/best-cs-skins\/best-cs-charms-best-cs-skins\/cs2-charm-patterns\/\">CS2 charm patterns guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Cant_You_Detach_a_Charm\"><\/span>Why Can\u2019t You Detach a Charm?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check these two things first:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your remaining detachments.<\/strong> Owning a charm does not necessarily mean you have removal charges available. Search your inventory before buying a pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The weapon\u2019s Trade Protection status.<\/strong> CS2 items received through a trade are protected for seven days. During that period, they cannot be modified. If the weapon is protected, wait until its protection expires before trying to change its attached charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That restriction comes from <a href=\"https:\/\/help.steampowered.com\/en\/faqs\/view\/365F-4BEE-2AE2-7BDD\">Steam\u2019s Trade Protected Items rules<\/a>. It holds a sticker inside a charm-like display. Breaking the slab recovers the enclosed sticker and discards the slab. It cannot recover a sticker already applied directly to a gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Can_You_Keep_Reusing_the_Same_Charm\"><\/span>Can You Keep Reusing the Same Charm?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. You can move it between compatible weapons as long as you have the detachments needed for each removal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no need to replace the charm just because you change skins.
