For a CS2 skin, compare the full item name, including its exterior and whether it is StatTrak or Souvenir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, if you remember receiving a Field-Tested AK-47, do not stop at the first entry containing an AK-47. Match the finish and exterior too. It does not establish every previous owner, the price paid or the sequence of trades behind each skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The owner can voluntarily show you a record, but treat a screenshot as supporting information. It may be cropped, edited or missing context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you traded with that person yourself, check the transaction in <strong>your own<\/strong> history. That gives you an account record of your exchange without depending on a screenshot they send.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no need to install an extension to view your own history. Stored items do not appear in your Steam Community inventory until retrieved.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Check completed trades.<\/strong> Look for an outgoing transaction involving the item.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Check Market activity.<\/strong> If you listed or sold it, examine the Market records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Check inventory history.<\/strong> Use it to investigate other changes, such as opening a case.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Steam specifically confirms that items inside Storage Units stay hidden from the Community inventory until you retrieve them. <a href=\"https:\/\/help.steampowered.com\/en\/faqs\/view\/52CE-419B-6C8D-2E50?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">Storage Units<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keep a short note of what you find: the approximate date, item name, relevant record and any transaction reference shown.
